Progress Report

This, like the first strip, is based on the very first ideas I had involving Girlbot. It was my favorite purely because it made her quest seem so futile and clueless, which I guess I find endearing. This was before I had any concept of her as a character with a quest. She just wants to be beeyooteeful.

Ugh, I have not been having a good time of it lately, which is totally my fault. I’ve been doing some artwork I don’t find very rewarding but is earning me a bit of cash. I’ve been dragging my butt on it — meaning procrastinating, not literally dragging my butt on my artwork — so it takes way longer than it should, which takes away time from the stuff I actually WANT to draw. Like Girlbot. And Welcome to Jinxville. Uh, gonna be late this week on the last one. Sorry. It doesn’t have a buffer like Girlbot does.

On the upside, I did eat a piece of pumpkin pie at midnight just because I felt like it. This, and crippling self-doubt, is the way of the cartoonist. Jealous?
