Throwback

To anyone who might be near the Twin Cities area in the next couple of days and weeks, it might interest you to know that there’s going to be a gallery opening happened this Friday, for the BIG FUNNY project. I have a piece in the show, and yes, it’s tangentially Girlbot related. Here’s a site with info about the project, and here’s info about the gallery show itself. I hope a few people can make it!

Oh, and it looks like the webcomics of Patrick Farley are finally back online with the new Electric Sheep website. In case you’re not a webcomics geek like I am, Patrick Farley has been putting out webcomics since the late 90s. Most of them are one-shots, and all of them are brilliant in one way or another. He’s experimental in how he uses technology to tell his stories — to varying degrees of success — and the subjects he tackles range from auto-bio to reincarnation to absurd political satire to THE GODDAMN APOCALYPSE. The comics are really meant for mature readers. As long as you’re in that category, I urge you to GO GO GO and read what’s been put up before they disappear off the face of the internet again. You will thank me.
