I hope you guys enjoyed the filler last week. I’m trying not to do that too much, but I needed the break. I’ve been trying to get some illustration work done. Doing that AND catching up on Girlbot strips AND recovering from three weeks solid of busting my ass would have been a recipe for a mental breakdown. Anyway. Back to the grind.
News on the Kickstarter-Poorcraft front! Spike and I (well, mostly Spike) have gotten a lot of really nice backers for the project. One lovely person even went in for the $500 option! With any luck, we’ll get it halfway backed this week and end up making more than our basic goal by the time the deadline rolls around. It certainly looks promising. But that, of course, relies on more people pledging whatever they feel like sparing to go toward the funding of the project. (About half of that money would go in my pocket to feed and take care of me while I draw.) So if you’re looking to learn how to make your money go farther in clever ways, there are worse investments you could make. And the money would only be taken out of your account once we hit the deadline and the goal has been reached, which wouldn’t be until December 20th. Even a buck will help us get to the goal. So…think about it?
I’m not going to harp on this every single update, so don’t worry. I do really believe in the project, for multiple reasons, but I’m not gonna be a huckster here. I might add some sort of reminder graphic to the Girlbot site, though.
Oh, hey! I almost forgot. I got interviewed by a couple of local comics-related podcasts at FallCon last weekend, Snark Infested Waters and The Webcomic Beacon. Check that stuff out!
