In case it’s unclear, Girlbot is vigorously shaking her head no and making a “wrong answer” buzzing sound in that first panel.
I made a blog post about it already, but here’s another note to say that I raised a nice little chunk of change with my Mini Fund Drive. It’s good to know that I can rely on my readers to back me up when I need it. It’s bought me a little peace of mind so I can make sure everything works out for Stumptown next month. I’m still doing sketch cards in exchange for $5+ donations, so if you wanted one of those, don’t be shy.
Since I did pretty well with my own fundraising efforts, I want to point you guys to another person trying to make webcomics his day job: Patrick Farley of Electric Sheep. He’s doing a Kickstarter to try to raise some wages in advance of updating his website full of awesome comics twice a week instead of once every couple of months. I love Patrick’s comics, so I really hope he succeeds. He could use the help, so please go look at that.
