Heh. Sorry about missing Monday’s update, guys. I really underestimated how much SpringCon was going to mess with my schedule. It didn’t leave me much time at all to work on Girlbot, which I try to draw on the weekends to leave time during the rest of the week for Poorcraft. This schedule works fine in theory, but then, so does communism.
If I’d had more foresight, I would have arranged some sort of filler for Monday. Instead, I’m stuck with this stupid hindsight, which is much less efficient. But here’s this extra-weird, double-sized update for you, so I hope that makes up for it a little.
SpringCon was really fun! And actually a bit profitable! I made enough money to buy some groceries, at least, so yay. I should do a journal post about it soon. Not so much about the events of the convention itself, but more the way it made me consider what steps I’m going to need to take in the next year or so to keep moving forward and making this “professional cartoonist” thing work. Somehow. I know it can be done.
Thanks to those of you who came by, whether you already knew the comic or chanced on my table and let me practice my Girlbot elevator pitch at you. I’m definitely feeling more confident now about my ability to have a good “con presence” or whatever you like to call it. Next stop: Kids Read Comics!

oh no! I wanna know what happens even more now!
Man. That poor robot. This is surprisingly disturbing, she really does seem to be in terrible pain.
“Surprisingly Disturbing” is my middle name.
(P.S. Zebra Girl is da best.)
