So this is my silly way of saying that Girlbot is going on one more hiatus-y thing. I basically have to totally throw myself into A) filling Kickstarter orders as fast as I can and B) finishing Poorcraft before the end of the year. (The last one is an ABSOLUTE MUST.) With just those two things, I just don’t have time to draw Girlbot for now, even filler updates.

With any luck, this is the last time Girlbot will go on for-real hiatus. It will return some time in December. I’m planning on running some guest comics, as well as a winter special, but we’ll see. “Real” updates will probably pick up after the new year.

I hope everyone will understand. This is just very stressful, and something has to give. I’d rather do this than offer crappy, infrequent comic updates.

I’ll post about the books soon. They came out great!

The books from the Kickstarter arrived today! They look great! They’ll be debuting this weekend at the Minneapolis Indie Xpo! The first 50 (or so) people who buy the book from me in person will get a free bookmark, as will everyone who pre-ordered the book.

Once MIX is over with, I’ll commence with filling the Kickstarter orders. If you’re local to Minneapolis, I will have your order — minus the poster, if you ordered one — with me at the table, so come pick it up if you come by the show, which is free to attend.

I’ll also be on a Kickstarter-themed panel discussion at 2:30 on Saturday, so come by and watch me nod my head while other people talk.

Here’s a little Halloween-themed somethin’ for you guys. I had fun drawing it, despite having to use my crappy back-up tablet because my usual one finally died on me. I’m getting that worked out, as well as making some plans and tough decisions for the next couple of months. More on that later.

In book news, I got the proofs this week, and they’re lovely! I honestly can’t see a single thing I’d have the printer fix, so the books are going to go to press ASAP to have them in time for MIX.

And we’re back! Here’s where the story left off, in case you’re having trouble recalling. The updates for this month are going to be properly weird and creepy. I hope you’ll enjoy them.
